The Journey Of A Tweet (Part 3 of 3)

Well, we are almost at the journey's end and I know that you are anxious to start tweeting like a mad person (which I wouldn't suggest) so I just have a few more points that you need to know about. I want to revisit the TweepML website that was mentioned earlier. What made TweepML famous is the fact that their application allows you to access twitter users in an easy to navigate list format. If there is a subject you can dream of, then chances are that there is a list to correspond. I just created my first list (after having issues with the Twitter list feature) and it was almost too simple. List let you manage your contacts, make recommendations and can be used for about anything you can think of.
Now the final leg of our journey will be centered around a great tool that takes the stress out of having to tweet every day. If you are like me then you probably feel that there are days when you just don't have the time to blog, tweet or even access your social media. Problem no more. TweetLater.com (also called SocialOomph) allows users to schedule tweets in advance. The main way that I use this feature is to let people know that my next newsletter or magazine issue is available. It also allows you to have the appearance to be working while traveling, on vacation or any other time you would not normally have access to a computer (recently I saw a tweet come through while the person was actually in the air on the way to a conference - sneaky but funny).
The only feature that I would not suggest using from TweetLater is the option of having an auto reply. Twitter considers this junk and will not tolerate it or any other form of reoccurring post. So users beware or you will be blocked!
Not that we have reached our final destination (for now), I encourage everyone that has been intimidated by the onslaught of technology platforms over the past few years to create their own flight path to effective tweeting.
Enjoy your journey and have a safe and enjoyable flight!
